Why Should You Join PornHub?
I’ve noticed a divide about people wanting to either get started on PornHub, or to avoid the platform all together. There’s the uncertainty about how ethical they are because they house so much stolen porn on their tube site. It can feel like they don’t try very hard to remedy the piracy issue, and thus make performers feel used and ignored. These negative points would need their own article to go over, so what about the positive aspects?
PornHub did ultimately change the porn industry. But, as an entrepreneur in any industry, you must adapt or die. I had my hesitations with the platform, but they were quickly forgotten after signing up. I’ll share some highlights of using Pornhub and ModelHub.
Fantastic Traffic
Everyone knows what PornHub is and what people use it for. It’s essentially a household name at this point. PornHub actually has their own blog and according to their 2018 Insights, people visited their website 33.5 billion times that year! That’s 92 million visitors each day, and they also boast almost 1,000 searches every second.
When a platform has excellent organic traffic, you want to take advantage of that.
PornHub and ModelHub
These are actually very different from each other, but they operate seamlessly together. ModelHub is the part of the website where people can purchase your clips and services. PornHub is like your front page where people can look in and see everything you offer, free and paid. If they click on anything purchasable, they get redirected to ModelHub where all the paid content is.
There’s no way around having one or the other, because you are required to have a PornHub account before you can make your ModelHub account. Even though they are different, they are reliant on each other.
Premium Member Viewshare
A cool feature you can activate on any of your clips is the Viewshare option. If you check this when uploading your clip, you will let Premium Members view your video for a higher rate than if someone viewed your FREE videos. It’s about $30 per 1,000 views. It doesn’t seem like much, but it all adds up! Especially if you have a large library for people to browse.
Something I’ve noticed when I download my reports is when a lot of people add a video to their playlist, it tends to make more money. This makes sense since your video will pop up more when they go to fap!
Some people may be against this because these members aren’t actually buying the video to watch it. I’d say you should weigh the pros and cons. You can always take videos off Viewshare later by editing your clip settings! I personally love it because each month that Viewshare revenue tends to grow higher and higher the more clips I upload. You can get a decent chunk of money each month without really doing much. When you factor in the revenue from FREE clips, Viewshare clips, and paid content; it really starts to add up every month!
Lots Of Content Features
The ability to upload your clips to PornHub and ModelHub isn’t the only thing this platform has to offer. They’ve added the ability to run your own Fan Club with exclusive discount offers and content for members. You also can have people fill out a custom order form with prices and categories set to your liking. You can write blog articles for more exposure, which is always a good thing! People can also send you tips. One fun fact about my business, personally, is that I get more unexpected tips on PornHub than any of my other platforms! I am not sure how I could duplicate that for others, but it’s something to look forward to.
PornHub has really expanded their horizons recently. They’ve adapted to the times and offer so much more for their models.
